Club Activities

At Home With the Dogs

Nugget

Some of our dogs, like Nugget here, are treated like real princesses. Where else would you find a four story mattress suitable for a Queen?

We have many of our club members working their English in the field, but our events are not limited just to our breed. As you see here from our last hunt test, their are many breeds out for our events.

In The Field

Dillon is a rescue dog that has made himself a permenant member of our family. He came to live with us about 3 years ago. He was so frightened of people it took 18 months just to get him to trust us. As you can see, he is quite comfortable now. He shares my chair, as well as our bed. When we first got Dillon, in July of 2002, we had to come up with an appropriate name for him.

Dillon at Home

Since we had just watched Independance Day, we thought of calling him Boomer, after the dog, but the name just didn't fit him. But the little boy was called Dillon, and that was a perfect name for our little guy. So that's how he got his name. Many of our rescue dogs come to us without a name. We often call them by the name of the street they were found on, or try to find a name that tells a little about where they have come from.

Last Years Christmas Party

December 2004 we had our Christmas party at Grover's Dog Park in Phoenix. A large number of rescue families joined the activities. We had about twenty dogs enjoying the day. Of course we had lots of food and the dogs were into the spirit of the event.

Dean and Patches are members of our club, and are also members of Another Chance for English Setters.

This little guy was decked out for the costume contest. We also had biscut eating and tennis ball catch.
